Religiously Integrated Cognitive Behavioral Techniques (RCBT) is based on extensive research evidence showing our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are constantly interacting with and influencing each other.

How we think about and interpret a situation often drives how we end up feeling and what we then do.

When thinking is distorted, the resulting emotions are often damaging. When emotions are damaging, they result in behaviors that are often self-defeating. Self-defeating behaviors may cause broken or dysfunctional relationships. Thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are functions of the temperament areas of Inclusion, Control, and Affection. From this perspective, RCBT can be integrated into Temperament Therapy to help you think, feel, and behave in more effective ways.

Using many of the important religious resources available to you, specific strategies compatible with your temperament needs are developed. These will help you think better, feel better and act better based on God’s Word. For the believer, the process creates a deeper and more intimate relationship with God. For those spiritually searching, it opens the door to step into a relationship with the One who created you.

As the apostle Paul told the Roman Christians, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.(Romans 12:2 NLT, emphasis added)
