Research shows that those who attend premarital counseling were better off than 80% of couples who decided against counseling.
(Carlson et al., 2012)

According to a 2005 article published by the National Fatherhood Foundation, 41% (almost half) of divorced couples say lack of pre-marriage preparation contributed to their divorce. In addition, a 2006 article on pre-marriage education published in the Journal of Family Psychology reported couples are 31% less likely to get divorced if they get some type of pre-marriage training before they marry.
